Fixed or editable QR: which to pick when
A static code stores the payload in the image. A dynamic one points at a managed link you can change without reprinting. Both matter — for different jobs.
When fixed is enough
A stable menu, guest Wi-Fi, a contact card, a PDF with a permanent URL, an “our Instagram” sticker. Build it on generate-qr-code.net, print, done.
When you need editable
Campaigns with new landing pages, seasonal menus, A/B tests, scan counts per location. Print once, then manage destination and stats on QRcode Global.
Mini quiz
You print 500 stickers for the year. The link will change in a month. Which type?
Rule of thumb
If the payload will never change — static. If you’re unsure or want analytics — dynamic. Cheaper to choose once than reprint a run.
